About Me

The root of it.

My love for writing started in the third grade, when a teacher punished me for not paying attention by making me memorize a single verse of Little Orphan Annie. Instead, I memorized the entire poem. When I stood up to recite my assigned verse, I delivered the whole thing from beginning to end. The room went silent, and for the first time, people paid attention. That moment sparked my connection to poetry — the realization that words could hold power, command a room, and change how people see you. Today, I bring that same intention into my songwriting, creating work shaped by truth, grit, and lived experience.
